Section 17.30.100 Building materials allowed for exterior walls.
Prior to the adoption of 17.30.100 (Ord. 2175) on 05/19/2003, Section 17.30.100 read as follows.
The following building materials, and none others, shall
be allowed in the construction of the
exterior walls of buildings and structures constructed and installed in a C-3 highway business
district in the city:
A. The exterior walls of a building
or structure that faces the street or front lot line of the
building lot (the "front wall") shall be constructed of one or more of the following building
materials: (a) any building materials allowed for front walls of buildings or structures in a C-2
general business district in the city; (b) architectural cement blocks; (c) stucco.
B. All exterior walls other than the
front wall of buildings or structures shall be constructed
of one or more of the following building materials: (a) the building materials authorized for walls
other than front walls in a C-2 general business district; (b) nonvertical metal, vertical metal not
to exceed fifty (50) percent of the height of each wall, vinyl and/or wood siding; and (c)
